Resource Management
To provide for successful resource
management, PPMS permits the use of a resource-specific calendar, cross-project
resource planning plus automatic capacity adjustment, including within the
buffer limits. Priorities are taken into account at project and task level. Taking
into account the resources assigned to each task, and their available
capacities, the system determines capacity requirements and plans them in
against the resources. Utilization diagrams enable the user to see quickly
whether there is an over- or underload, whether the load is uniform, or which
individual tasks are contributing to a peak in the load.
